I'm back and I made a quick movie!

Jeez I haven't posted in forever.

Mostly because my life has been an insane bunch of insane things happening one after the other.
Also because I lost my job (was made redundant) and decided to change careers.
So the last year I have been studying to become a librarian! It's been very full on as they condensed what used to be two years into one year so most of my spare time has just been studying. 

I only have two weeks left so I should be back to blogging shortly but for now I thought I would share this video.

I had a subject, Promote literature and reading. We had to make a blog and promotional activity for a certain topic. I picked graphic novels and decided to promote it with a video.

It's sort of funny so I thought I would share it here. It's a bit of a rush job as I did it all in one day but still funny. Plus I LOVE my wig.

Sexy Darth Maul Lady

I have been doing a lot of sewing, sculpting and body make up investigation.
I even did some Light Saber practice with a juggling teacher!

This make up takes about 1.5 hours to put on and even longer to take off!

I cut and styled a wig I bought off ebay then sculpted the horns from sculpy and painted them.
I then sewed them into the wig. (that was the most annoying part)

 The great thing about wearing an awesome costume is you get to meet other people wearing great costumes.

So a lot of my time has been taken up by costuming but also by moving house and relationships and changing jobs and all that stuff! I may post a bit about it later but soon I will be posting more costumes :)

Sexy Star Wars is Sexy - Darth Talon

Oh look it's my good friend Kendall! She is dressed (and I use the term loosely haha) as Darth Talon from the Star Wars extended universe.

Kendall and I are both joining the 501st (A group of people who dress up as characters from Star Wars but only the Empires side) The guidelines are pretty strict on the costumes as they often get paid to go to events like DVD launches, movie launches and all (they donate any money they get paid to charity)

I had to help Kendall out as her costume is mostly her body painted red and black. Hahaha.
We had to do this three times before she was approved (as this was the first time anyone has completed a Darth Talon costume for the 501st in THE WHOLE WORLD and they kept saying to change the tattoos)

We got a drill down pat after the third time. First, paint Kendall red with body paint and a roller (like you paint your walls with) let that dry.
Second, using stencils and an airgun paint on the tattoos (also using body paint)
Third stick on Kendalls lekku (the head tentacles) with prosthetic glue and stuff. paint her face red and black. Fourth put on her outfit.

It was a lot of fun even tho it took forever! It was great to get to do most of the work as Kendall had to stand still to avoid smudging herself. It was a great lesson in air brushing, dealing with people being still for a long time and the importance of how you cut out your stencils.

I took all the photos also and we really happy with how they turned out, esp the one above!

Of course as the 501st is primarily fun and silly we had to have the obligatory Sith Lord Darth Talon doing something mundane.

Halloween - The sexy luciferian deamon

Sooo I haven't posted in ages. I have been going to the hospital nearly everyday for a bunch of crazy tests. I am actually glad about this, which might seem weird but it's important that I get checked up because I have HHT and this can cause AV malformations in my body and they are bad.

Anyway now all my tests are done and I get the results this Friday I can be back to blogging!
YAY.

Here is the ONLY picture of me from Halloween. It was dumb of me to not take any pictures but I was rushing and wasn't very well.

I was pleased with my outfit as it made an old lady on the train scream, which was so worth the total uncomfortable feeling and limited vision I experienced wearing these contact lenses haha!

I did want the thing on my chest to be the sigil of lucifer but I had to settle with a pentagram as I was rushing and that was far easier to do.
I made the horns and antlers myself and am pretty happy with them but looking at them in a flash photo makes them look a bit shiney so I might repaint them and take some new photos.

I am also going to write a tutorial about how to make your own horns

Asajj Ventress Costume!

Well she is a super cool chatacter from Star Wars Clone Wars.
A Sith who hangs out with Count Dooku and tries to kill Anikan Skywaler a lot.

My friend was having a Sci Fi dress up birthday party and was going as a TIE fighter pilot so I thought great time to dress up as a star wars character!

I had been working on my costume for a few weeks here and there and was getting excited as I had made most of the thing myself YAY.
I also bought a bald cap and some eyebrow was to cover up my eyebrows.

Here are two of my favorite fan art for Ventress.
These I used to base my costume on for the most part.

So the weekend rolled around for the party and it was a very full weekend.
I had to go to the 'first annual gothic picnic' in the morning and then watch a friends band in the afternoon and then leave to get ready for the party. By the time I was getting ready
I was tired and annoyed and couldn't be bothered but solidered on for the sake of my friend who's birthday it was.
I had run out of time to mess around with the bald cap and with the eyebrow wax so I had to put body paint in my hair and hairspray my eyebrows down.
So here is my rish job with no good pics of my costume.
I think I will do a better photo shoot when I have some more time to do it properly.

Clearly my boobs aren't white enough either hahaha. Still I was happy for a rush job.

Turned out hardly anyone was in fancy dress either so I was annoyed at them and sad for my friend (whos party it was)
